"I found new shapes inspired by Cubism and Op Art and worked on refining their volumes by combining different strokes of colors. By slightly carving the wood panels, depth is achieved on the surfaces and by adding a single or a repeated form with mono or polychromatic finish, the revelation happens. Each new painting is another adventure, what I call Artistic Serendipity."

Living and painting in British Columbia for the past 20 years now, Antony's artwork is essentially influenced by Paul Klee, Vassily Kandinsky and Victor Vasarely. His most recent paintings are an amalgam of his wood sculpture period and oil paint experimentation sustained by the sensitivity of his musical background. Antony Rolland has an extensive exhibition history in both France and Canada.
