Christina Sodano grew up in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey, a small beach town with beautiful landscapes which inspired her drawing at a young age. Her parents saw her enthusiasm to paint so they enrolled her in private art lessons at the young age of 8. She continued her love for art and lessons throughout her high school years.
As an undergraduate at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia she majored in illustration and concentrated in advertising. Illustration fostered her love for art, while advertising supported her ability to have a successful career. Christina’s dream was to be productive and financially successful as an artist. After college she worked as a professional advertiser in two different agencies. She embraced the creativity of logo design, packaging design, magazine ads, and much more that comes with advertising. She loved the creativity in advertising but still desired to be a painter. As the years passed she worked on building her portfolio as an artist. Christina has always been fascinated by images of nature and enjoys transferring her vision with her creativity on the canvas.
In 1988 Christina moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where she worked at Phoenix Art Group. Here she created art along with becoming an art representative. In 1992 Christina created her own art business representing 20 artists throughout the country selling to interior designers, furniture companies, private collectors, and galleries. Currently Christina lives with her family in Los Gatos, California. Painting remains Christina’s first love and a vibrant testament to her profound talent. Her brilliant use of color expresses her passionate respect for the harmony of nature. Christina loves to exaggerate her color and design while transforming the subject on the canvas.
"I focus on the emphasis of vibrant colors in my paintings whether it’s an abstract or landscape. The beauty of color is an endless inspiration where I transfer my creativity to the canvas."
