Originally from the UK, John Lendis completed his training in of Fine Art in Australia where he has held numerous exhibitions. He now currently lives and works in the UK, where his works are well collected. His highly narrative pieces involve serene, metaphysical landscapes that manipulate scale and mood to stimulate a mysterious and evocative journey for the viewer.

John’s masterful use of his oil paint is illustrated in his highly intricate subjects. His compositions are complex with an enormous about of detail that adds to the explorative and contemplative nature of his work. Reoccurring themes express liberating femininity, mythical escapism and sobering obscurity.
