Katarzyna Golebiowska works come from a series that questions change and transformation. The hours and minutes that are precisely used as titles of her paintings to capture a specific moment of observing the world, passing emotions, lights, colors, and landscapes. By juxtaposing subsequent canvases, Katarzyna tries to create a specific sum of isolated moments, but also moments that lie somewhere in between that create a series of emotions tied to perception.

Katarzyna Golebiowska lives and works in Łódź, Poland. In 2007, she earned a Master’s degree in Art History at the Faculty of  Philosophy and History of the Łódź University. Two years later, she completed her studies at the Strzemiński Academy of Art in Łódź, graduating in Painting and Drawing Studio of Professor Aleksandra Gieraga, gaining also an annex to the diploma in Photography Studio of Professor Leokadia Bartoszko.  

In 2008, Katarzyna was granted a scholarship at the Accademia Albertina, Turin. In 2012, she completed her post-graduate studies in Interior Design at the Higher School of Art and Design in Łódź. For the period of  2007/2008 was awarded an Artistic Scholarship founded by Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. Between 2009 - 2013, she was an assistant in the Department of Education of the Museum of Art in Łódź. She is a laureate of the City of  Łódź Scholarship for people involved in artistic creation in 2016. 
 

Currently, Katarzyna is an assistant lecturer in the Image Studio of Professor Aleksandra Gieraga at the Faculty of Painting and Drawing at the Władyslaw Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland. She participated in many group and individual exhibitions, both in Poland and abroad (Rome, Italy / Berlin, Germany / Hanoi, Vietnam / Turin, Italy / Łódź, Poland).  She also received the Award for Best New Exhibitor at the 40th annual Artexpo New York  2018.
