Louis Christensen is deeply engrossed in the metaphysical, spiritual and creative spheres of the natural world. She explores mystical concepts through the deepest limits of the subconscious and the outskirts of the divinity. Thus, her work resembles prophetic depictions and esoteric imagery. Christensen’s use peculiar materials such as flowers, plants, stone, sand, textiles, and objects such as glasses, shoes, clothes and even snakeskin, keeps the audience alert and engaged in the unrestrained expression. 

 

Christensen has exhibited her work internationally in Berlin, New York, Tokyo and London. She spent 10 years in Vienna and near Frankfurt. In 2011, she returned to her home country of Denmark where she now lives and work.
