OPENING NIGHT PREVIEW PARTY
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 5TH
7:30 p.m. MEET THE ARTIST:
SANDRINE HERMAND-GRISEL &
CAROL CARPENTER

Sandrine Hermand-Grisel’s photography has been influenced by her late mother’s sculptures and her husband’s paintings and films. After moving with her family to the United States in 2006, she began experimenting with landscape photography with her series Somewhere and On the Road. Join her as she explains the intimacy she has with her subjects and the evolution and inspiration behind her works.

Carol Carpenter is an award-winning artist who has exhibited her art in galleries and museums around the world. She shares: “Creating works of art is a compelling life force. It encompasses passion, spontaneity, intellect, and self-discovery. My art is not politically or culturally eye-opening. It is simply meant to appeal to the senses and heighten the human experience.” Join her and explore her life force.

OPENING NIGHT PREVIEW PARTY
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7TH
6:00 p.m. MEET THE ARTIST:
SAMAR KAMEL

Samar Kamel is an Egyptian artist, curator, and author who is known for works that examine cultural attitudes toward women and aim to transform stereotypes through their vibrant depictions of the modern woman. See how she indulges her passion for painting by exploring different media, from oil and acrylic to nail polish and tea bags, and examines various techniques from traditional brushwork and impasto to cross-hatching, collage, and ink transfer.

OPENING NIGHT PREVIEW PARTY
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8TH
6:00 p.m. LIVE DEMONSTRATION:
TAMMY ROGGIE

Watch as Tammy Roggie creates her next colorful masterpiece. A self-taught emerging artist with a deep appreciation for the time-honored expression in abstract art, Roggie suspends judgment of herself and the internal narrative of her life in order to listen and follow the direction of subconscious creative self. Her paintings are brave and bold, raw and unexpected. Many paintings are layered stories, one painting on top of another, the result of approaching the canvas day to day or moment to moment and allowing herself to completely change what was just applied. By approaching each canvas this way, each piece embodies Roggie’s lifestyle and the ebb and flow of a layered, empowered woman.
